One night. One stage. The Govaneur in Vienna.
Bobby Vandamme, known as "Der Govaneur", brought his 2026 tour to SiMM City in Vienna on 17 May. It was the fourth of seven stops through Switzerland, Germany and Austria. A concert night happens exactly once and then it is over. Anyone who is not in the room gets nothing of it, unless someone holds on to it.
I spent the whole evening moving between the crowd and the stage and took in the audience, the show and the moments in between, without standing in the way. I edited straight afterwards, with the focus on pace and volume rather than on completeness, so the material works on social media and does not come across as a recording of the full set. The video was out 48 hours after the show, still in the week the tour was the topic. That is where the entire value of a concert video sits: a clip that arrives three weeks later tells the same night, but nobody feels it any more.
