Two shoots.
One journey. All in.
The Vienna Knights are the American football club from the west of Vienna, and in 2026 they play in the AFL for the first time in their 20-year history. A step up like that happens once, and without footage all that is left of it is the memory of the people who were there. I recorded two moments of that journey: the open practice in September 2025, which shows fans the team's daily work unfiltered, and the first day of the training camp in February 2026, with the biggest season in the club's history ahead of them.
I shot both productions documentary style, right at the edge of the field, on a Sony FX3 and edited in DaVinci Resolve. The two shoot days produced eight videos for social media — from drills and team dynamics to the tension on day one of camp. No gloss, just what the club actually does.
